AMBALA: On Monday, the district police and the troops of central paramilitary forces conducted flag march in various parts of Ambala in preparation for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections The flag march has been held under the guidance of Ambala City DSP Ajit Kumar by the district police and troops of Border Security Force (BSF) in Baldev Nagar, Ambala City, Ambala Sadar , Naggal and Parao.DSP Ajit Kumar said, "The flag march has been conducted on the orders of the Ambala superintendent of police (SP) Mohit Handa and these marches will continue to be held until elections. The police and paramilitary parties flag marched through sensitive and most sensitive areas falling under various police stations in the Ambala, so that the peace is maintained."The district police also spread awareness among residents about giving the police timely information on anti-social elements, malicious rumours and false information during the enforcement of the model code of conduct.Ambala SP Mohit Handa said, "To maintain peace in border areas of the district, an inter-state crime and coordination conference was held on March 14 in Ambala. The officials of the state and district border police participated in the conference and discussed setting up of check posts, maintaining peace, law, and order. The district police are alert and prepared to conduct fair elections and preventive and proper security arrangements will be made."The SP has also appealed to the people to maintain law and order.
