Gurgaon: Residents of 200 flats in Parsvnath Exotica approached district registrar IS Yadav on Monday, alleging that their names are missing from the voters’ list.Ahead of elections scheduled on April 12, the residents said they were yet to get their occupancy certificates (OC), without which they cannot have voting rights as per HRRS Act 2012.Exotica has 780 apartments, out of which 470 flats have OC, while 200 are without OC and for 110, possession has not yet been given.Five of the 17 towers do not have OCs yet.One of the residents, Yash Handa, filed a petition under section 39 (a) of HRRS Act requesting Yadav to put a stay on the poll process.These residents have been given a concession of sorts by the builder. They are paying their maintenance to a third party not the RWA “I purchased the flat in 2014. All the membership fees were paid to the association. They assured us that we would be made members once the OC comes but we are yet to get it,” said Handa.Another resident claimed that last year too they had approached Yadav and also filed a complaint at the Haryana CM window.TOI spoke to a senior official from Parsvnath Developers who said the process to obtain OCs was in the final stage. “The file is in Chandigarh and we are expecting OC to arrive very soon, possibly before summers.”
