In India, there was 60% jump in the number of people dying of drug-related issues between 2000 and 2015.Khattar said his government had constituted a special task force (STF) in January 2018 to go after drug dealers and opened 61 drug deaddiction centres, in which 25,000 youths were treated for their addiction last year.“If consuming drugs made life happy, I would have also taught the same to everyone. To those who say Lord Shiva also takes bhang (cannabis), my only question is, has anyone seen him doing that. And then, why forget that he (Shiva) had also taken poison ,” said Sri Sri. The real fun in life is in consciousness. The youth of Punjab and Haryana used to be so strong that they used to protect the country, but consuming drugs has spoiled their condition (mental and physical), he added.On March 10, from 7am to 8am, all the cities would organise a run for ‘Drug Free India’, he said.
