Nothing makes for a better Sunday than an exciting game of polo for those who are used to spending their weekends at Jaipur Polo Ground. And the final match of the Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Scindia Gold Cup 2019 was the perfect treat for the gathering at the polo ground recently. Also, it is good to see such lovely, young and handsome players who are taking the game forward. Captain Naveen Jindal led his team to victory in the four-chukker match. “In the last 22 years, I have seen so many new rules introduced to the game, and now all we see are Argentinian horses on the ground.

A minute’s silence was also observed at the beginning of the match to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack.Cheering spectators: The gathering included Yashodhara Raje Scindia , who was hosting the final tournament and a few diplomats from the city. Captain Naveen Jindal led his team to victory in the four-chukker match. Also, it is good to see such lovely, young and handsome players who are taking the game forward. But the common perception is still that it is a privileged sport. When I was the minister of sports in Madhya Pradesh, I proved to the world that you can have an equestrian academy and you can have anyone become a good show jumper.
