Delhi Police bust inter-state autolifter racket

The Delhi Police has busted an inter-state autolifter racket in Shahdara. According to police the accused Vikas is a resident of Kalyan Puri, Delhi and shortage of money pushed him into roberries. Following a tip off the police made a special team and apprehended all the three accused allegedly involved in several robberies. During interrogation, Vikas confessed his involvement in various motor vehicles robbery and gave the information of other two accomplices. "Vikas was indulged in motor cycles thefts in Delhi and sold them in Sambhal, UP to one Sharik Satha for Rs 5,000 to 8000."

The Delhi Police has busted an inter-state autolifter racket in Shahdara. Following a tip off the police made a special team and apprehended all the three accused allegedly involved in several robberies. The accused have been identified as Vikas (27), Gaurav (28), Farid (25). As per police they got a tip off in September regarding several motor vehicle thefts. They then laid a trap and intercepted Vikas at checkpoint near Taj Enclave. During interrogation, Vikas confessed his involvement in various motor vehicles robbery and gave the information of other two accomplices. On based of this information, police made a special team and then after thee months they caught the another two active members of that gang and seized 17 motor vehicles stolen from Outer, North, Shahdara and East District. "Vikas was indulged in motor cycles thefts in Delhi and sold them in Sambhal, UP to one Sharik Satha for Rs 5,000 to 8000." said Meghna Yadav, Deputy Commisionner of Police,Shahdara. According to police the accused Vikas is a resident of Kalyan Puri, Delhi and shortage of money pushed him into roberries. He then came in touch with Gaurav and Farid and formed a gang. They used to commit robberies in Delhi-NCR region.
