Dehradun: Reenu Kashyap, 38, is the only candidate fielded for the Lok Sabha elections by the Hindusthan Nirman Dal (HND), the party newly formed by Pravin Togadia , former leader of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. I have been gathering public support from the ground for a year now.” Kashyap originally hails from Roorkee where her six siblings are also based. The HND is contesting only the Haridwar Lok Sabha seat and will be extending support to an independent candidate in Tehri.Speaking to TOI soon after filing her nomination, Kashyap said, “I am a social worker by profession and am involved in national-level survey works. I aim to work for the yuva (youth), mahila (women) and kisan (farmer) in our area.”Kashyap, who will be contesting elections for the first time, says that she chose HND as its ideology resonated with her.“I had already created my base before HND approached me to be their face for this election.
