COIMBATORE: A -70-year-old woman was found dead with her throat slit at Annai Velankanni Nagar in Sowripalayam here on Monday night. Mary went to the house -- located nearby -- with the woman. She was a retired government staff nurse.On Monday, a 30-year-old woman approached Mary on the pretext of seeing a house which Mary’s family wanted to let out on rent . However, she didn’t not return.Her husband went to the house looking for his wife and found Mary lying in a pool of blood with her throat slit. Her gold jewellery was missing.Preliminary inquiries revealed that a couple had visited Sowripalayam two days ago on the pretext of searching rental houses.
