Apollo enables Sanjeevani Telehealth Seva to cater to almost 10 million people

Apollo TeleHealth’s Foundation has enabled Sanjeevani Telehealth Seva for Madhya Pradesh Government to cater to almost 10 million people of Bhopal and Indore - the two districts most seriously hit by the COVID 19 pandemic in the state. The Sanjeevani TeleHealth Service project is being executed along with Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (recently merged into IndusInd Bank) under their CSR initiative. "The move to launch a telehealth service in the hotspot cities of Indore and Bhopal is, therefore, a highly welcome initiative. We are happy to become an enabler in this effort and our doctors will proactively help patients to the best of their abilities,” said Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group. The new service is being aggressively promoted by the Madhya Pradesh government.

Apollo TeleHealth’s Foundation has enabled Sanjeevani Telehealth Seva for Madhya Pradesh Government to cater to almost 10 million people of Bhopal and Indore - the two districts most seriously hit by the COVID 19 pandemic in the state. The toll-free call service will help patients with non-COVID 19 related issues to seek timely medical help at a time when non-emergency OPDs have been suspended by many hospitals. The Sanjeevani TeleHealth Service project is being executed along with Bharat Financial Inclusion Limited (recently merged into IndusInd Bank) under their CSR initiative. The toll-free number was immediately flooded with queries, receiving over 200 calls within a few hours of being launched."The move to launch a telehealth service in the hotspot cities of Indore and Bhopal is, therefore, a highly welcome initiative. We would like to appreciate and congratulate the state Government for recognising this void and acting quickly to fill it. We are happy to become an enabler in this effort and our doctors will proactively help patients to the best of their abilities,” said Dr Sangita Reddy, Joint Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Group. The new service is being aggressively promoted by the Madhya Pradesh government. The Commissioner, Health & Family Welfare has also tweeted about the service, exhorting the people of Bhopal and Indore to use it.
