He just couldn’t extrapolate accurately what would happen if he changed the student-teacher equation. And he just multiplied his problems with his undivided attention to his female student.The woman has filed a complaint against her former math teacher for allegedlyher by sending herand makingto her when he was naked.The accused, who has been identified as BH Channe Gowda, is said to be working in a government school in Tumakuru and the police are on the lookout for him. He was reportedly teaching her mathematics in the ninth standard. When the harassment increased, the victim filed a complaint with the police.The victim who is also a native of Tumakuru moved to her husband’s house located in Peenya on Tumakuru Road. Her husband works with a private firm in KR Puram. The victim is said to have discontinued studies after studying till ninth standard. In 2017 after getting married, she moved to the city. Once she came to, she says she started using her mother’s mobile phone number and opened aaccount. The accused is believed to have found her number through common contacts.On Friday evening, at around 6.53 pm, the accused is said to have liked one of her pictures which she had posted on Facebook messenger. At 8.59 pm, he messaged her with a ‘Hi’. Five minutes later, he is alleged to have made video call which she cut. Again he is supposed to have sent her another message saying, ‘Hi ma’. After this he is alleged to have sent her his nude photos on Messenger. When she did not reply to his messages nor reacted to his video chats, he started making video calls on her WhatsApp number. During all the video calls, the accused is said to have been naked. Harassed by his behaviour, she decided to file a complaint.“The victim filed a complaint on Saturday and provided us with proof. The accused is in his early forties. Based on the video calls made to her on her WhatsApp number, we have obtained his mobile phone number and we are on the lookout for him. We suspect that he could have done the same with other female students in the school. His arrest will probably throw more light about his sexual harassment,” said an officer who is a part of the investigations.The Rajagopala Nagar police have registered a case of stalking (IPC 354D) against Gowda and are investigating the case.
