BATHINDA: A war of words broke out between Punjab finance minister Manpreet Badal and his estranged sister-in-law, Union minister Harsimrat Badal , on Friday.A day after Manpreet took pot shots at her over their victory margin in 2014 parliamentary elections, a miffed Harsimrat challenged Manpreet to contest against her this year from Bathinda and test his popularity. "Manpreet must not insult the 2014 mandate, officials and those who voted for me, by making wild allegatsions," she said. "It is clear that the 2014 loss still rankles Manpreet. He cannot stomach the fact that he lost the parliamentary poll despite being the joint candidate of the Peoples Party of Punjab (PPP), Congress and CPI. He should accept his loss gracefully and respect the public mandate," she said.
