New entrance opened at Ajmer railway station to avoid traffic jam on road

AJMER: On Monday an alternative entrance and exit gate at the back of Ajmer railway station was inaugurated and opened for passengers. This will ease the rush on the railway station road. It was inaugurated by Rajya Sabha member Bhupender Yadav.The road is jam packed with traffic of railway station which makes it difficult for travellers to commute. Ajmer Development Authority had also prepared for the project of four-lane road from the back gate to Shrinagar Road but it did not start. On Monday, ground floor was inaugurated with the capacity of 290 cars and 200 two-wheelers.Similarly, rail garden for jogging and walking was also inaugurated on Shrinagar Road.

AJMER: On Monday an alternative entrance and exit gate at the back of Ajmer railway station was inaugurated and opened for passengers. This will ease the rush on the railway station road. The project was initiated by former divisional railway manager and present chairman of RailTel Corporation, Puneet Chawla. It was inaugurated by Rajya Sabha member Bhupender Yadav.The road is jam packed with traffic of railway station which makes it difficult for travellers to commute. The back entrance and exit gate will help residents of Topdara, Shrinagar road, Adarsh Nagar and Madar to get directly to the station.Rs 10 crore have been spent on this project which includes parking facility of 200 vehicles, waiting hall, booking window and recently an accelerator and a lift have also been introduced on this extra platform. A multi-storeyed parking with direct connection to the railway platform was also inaugurated near Topdara Phatak with a capacity of 4,800 cars. On Monday, ground floor was inaugurated with the capacity of 290 cars and 200 two-wheelers.Similarly, rail garden for jogging and walking was also inaugurated on Shrinagar Road. The digital rail museum was inaugurated by BJP MLAs Anita Bhadel, Suresh Singh Rawat and mayor Dharmendra Gahlot. Ajmer Development Authority had also prepared for the project of four-lane road from the back gate to Shrinagar Road but it did not start. Railways also gave land to provide better facilities for passengers commuting from railway station’s back gate.
