Agra: The basic education department had sent a wrong report to the state government concerning out-of-school children in Agra district. I am trying to figure out how a report of 284 children was sent to the state government. The matter came to the fore after directorate, basic education released a district-wise list of the out-of-school children. To increase enrollments in state government-run primary schools, the basic education department had launched a special programme, “Sharda- School Har Din Ayein”. They have been instructed to take personal interest in their enrolment in the new academic session.BSA Anand Prakash Sharma said, “There are more than 1,500 out-of-school children in the district. Just 10 children, the least, were identified as out of school in Chitrakoot district.
