But since there was tight security arrangements in and around the city in view of the PM's rally, police personnel promptly acted and managed to send back the herd of cattle and the protesters.Sadar circle officer Uday Raj Singh said, “Samajwadi Party men organised the cattle march to protest against stray cattle menace. They were stopped at the outskirts of the city. We asked the protesters to hand over the memorandum to us and will ensure that their concern is put forward to senior officials, but they continued to push the cattle into the city.”“Since a large number cattle was being herded towards the city, local farmers feared that their crop (on land along the road) would be damaged. Hence, some local people used batons to turn the cattle back to Nagla Sabla.
