Yadav was rushed to hospital, “Police resorted to lathicharge when we were going to the PM's rally venue to hand over a memorandum seeking his intervention to check the cattle menace.” But since there was tight security arrangements in and around the city in view of the PM's rally, police personnel promptly acted and managed to send back the herd of cattle and the protesters.Sadar circle officer Uday Raj Singh said, “Samajwadi Party men organised the cattle march to protest against stray cattle menace. Initially, there was some confusion as the herd of cattle ran hither thither, but finally they turned back,” said the circle officer.The Agra unit of Samajwadi Party, Ramshay Yadav, suffered injuries in both legs after being chased by the dispersing cattle. Hence, some local people used batons to turn the cattle back to Nagla Sabla. They were stopped at the outskirts of the city.
