AGM, ECR visits NTPC coal mining project

Additional General Manager (East Central Railway),  Tarun Prakash,   accompanied by distinguished guests from Hajipur Zone and Dhanbad Division, conducted a visit to the Banadag Railway Siding of the Pakri Barwadih Coal Mining project. The purpose of the visit was to assess the progress of yard augmentation work and the construction of the Rapid Loading System (RLS). Upon arrival at the Banadag Railway Siding, officials received a warm welcome from Faiz Taiyab (Head of Project, PBCMP and PB-NW), who welcomed them with planters. After that a brief meeting took place at the siding premises, during which senior officials from NTPC provided a comprehensive overview of the RLS construction and yard augmentation work. Emphasizing the importance of meeting project deadlines, NTPC officials sought wholehearted support from the Railways for timely completion. Subsequently, the team toured the Banadag Siding Area, RLS area, and the under-construction railway yard, observing various operations including rake loading, boundary construction, RLS construction, earth filling, construction of Bridge 4, and track laying. Dignitaries accompanying Tarun Prakash, AGM (ECR), included Manoj Singh, PCOM (ECR), Kamal Kishore Sinha, DRM (Dhanbad Div), Ramashray Pandey, CAO (Construction), and senior NTPC officials Faiz Taiyab (HOP PB-CMP), Sanjay Dubey (GM, Infrastructure), Amudala Prathap (AGM, Dispatch), and Basant Behera (AGM, Electrical Engineering). The visit concluded with lunch at the NTPC Transit Camp at Julu Park Hazaribagh. Before departing, AGM (ECR) and PCOM (ECR) commended the collaborative efforts of NTPC and Railways, affirming the Railways commitment to fully support the timely completion of yard augmentation work.
